MILANO XL

Banfi Consulting oversaw the production and general organisation of Milano XL 2018. Now in its second edition, the project showcases the inner workings of Italy’s fashion industry.

Six cubes, representing more than 67,000 businesses, were animated to fully draw attention to the industry’s multilayered structure, with MOSTRA-DIMOSTRA (show and demonstrate) chosen as the event’s title. In fact, each cube tells an exciting story through the use of images and sounds that allow for deep reasoning, while offering a captivating experience for both attendees and viewers.

Milano XL was developed through the coming together of a number of key players, including the Ministry for Economic Development, the Milan City Council, and Confindustria – coupled with collaboration and support from ICE Agency. The city of Milan is itself the stage for numerous examples of production excellence – which has since elevated Italy’s recognisability onto the global arena.

The project’s artistic direction was managed in its entirety by the talented Luca Stoppini.
